Mojang joins Microsoft

Microsoft has announced that they have acquired Mojang for $2.5 billion dollars, the studio behind one of the most successful games in recent years Minecraft. With this new acquisition perhaps will see Minecraft be packaged with other Microsoft products such as phones, tablets and other devices. While Microsoft may have purchased the studio they did not acquire the founder and creator of Minecraft Markus Persson as well as the two other founders. They decided to pursue other opportunities and other projects. I’m curious to see what Microsoft has in store for their new studio and what the future holds for all those other non-Microsoft devices that now run Minecraft.

About mherrera697

I've been gaming for many years now from the early days of the Nintendo all the way up to now. I was part of a site for a number of years but decided to venture out on my own. I created this site to see how far I could go on my own.
