Angry Joe gives up on Nintendo

The popular Youtuber Angry Joe made a video a few days ago stating that he will no longer be making videos showing of Nintendo products. This is in response after his Lets Play video on Mario Party 10 was taken down due to copyright laws. This is because Nintendo has adopted a new program that shares the revenue YouTubers get from making videos on Nintendo product with Nintendo. Basically Nintendo receives 40 percent of the revenue created from the videos and YouTubers get the rest. While the program has been active for a few months, this is the first time a YouTuber like Angry Joe has decided to part ways. Personally while I understand Nintendo has every right to do this and so does Angry Joe understands this as well but it still doesn’t make it right. Like I mentioned in a recent article I wrote when they took down a project based on the first level of Super Mario 64, it just taints the name of Nintendo. I’d love to hear what you think on the topic, do you think its right for Nintendo have a policy like this and does it make you think differently about the company ?

I've been gaming for many years now from the early days of the Nintendo all the way up to now. I was part of a site for a number of years but decided to venture out on my own. I created this site to see how far I could go on my own.

  1. And somehow Nintendo will still live on. If only Joe made something worth using.
